All Armies Updated!!!

Age of Fantasy, Battle Report, Firefight, Game Update, Grimdark Future, Skirmish

Hi everyone,

Today we’re extremely pleased to announce that all armies have been updated to the new format and with the latest balance changes. :D

This has been an incredible feat as we’ve updated:

  • 40+ armies
  • 70+ factions
  • 1000+ units!

None of this would’ve been possible without the help from our awesome community, as well as our Patreon donations which allow us to invest more time into the project.

With the new balance changes we’ve tried to make sure that all units and weapons have a place on the tabletop, and with the new look we’ve tried to give each armybook a little extra flavor.

The new layout actually has a cool little benefit, in that you can now see a preview image of each army’s illustration in the Army Book Folder, making it even easier to browse for your favorite army.

Before we go into the full details of the new update we also wanted to share this awesome new battle report made by Wyloch’s Armory.

In this battle report you can see an awesome 4000pts clash between the Alien Hives and the Battle Brothers, played with a bunch of cool house rules.


Grimdark Future

Alien Hives

  • Fixed point cost of Snatcher Lord
  • Raised price of Adrenaline and Toxic Bite to 10pts

Battle Sisters

  • Fixed point cost of Storm Rifles in list A
  • Removed the Greater High Sister from Firefight

Dark Elf Raiders

  • Re-worked melee upgrades for heroes
  • Torture Masters now have Regeneration and can upgrade with Psychic
  • Added new Psychic Spells list
  • Re-worked Torture Master rule
  • Courtesans lost their Barb Pistols but gained stronger Toxin Katanas
  • Ghouls lost Regeneration but gained Defense 5+
  • Tortured Brutes are now Defense 5+ but gained Tough(3)
  • Warriors can now be upgraded with Flamethrowers
  • Re-worked Jetbike Riders
  • Clawed Beasts now have Tough(6)
  • Re-worked Soul Conductor rule

Gangs of Hive City

  • Added new gang: The Cannibals
  • All gangs have a new Veteran unit
  • Re-worked most melee and ranged weapons
  • Re-worked most hero special rules

Infected Colonies

  • Added new unit: Infected Scientist
  • Monstrous Tyrants now have Fear
  • Re-worked Terrifying rule
  • Re-worked Infection rule
  • Added Psychic Spell list
  • Hunter Champions have new melee upgrades
  • Re-worked Bloodthirsty rule
  • Zombies have 3 attacks in melee now
  • Infected can take Shred Rifles now
  • Infected Hunters have new melee upgrades
  • Re-worked Boom! rule
  • Infected Monsters have Defense 2+ now
  • Attack Buggies now come with Heavy Machineguns

Orc Marauders

  • Specialist Orcs lost Relentless and come equipped with Flamethrowers
  • Fixed upgrade list P (Firefight)

Ratmen Clans

  • Added new unit: Rat Shaman
  • Clan Mothers now have Tough(6)
  • Re-worked Psychic spells
  • Rat Pipers now have Poison in melee
  • Tangled Psychics now have Tough(3)
  • Crawlers can now take Shred Rifles and Plasma Rifles
  • Rat Swarms now have 3 attacks in melee
  • Terror Beasts now have 3 attacks in melee
  • Great Terror Beasts now have Defense 2+
  • Giant Abominations now have 12 attacks in melee and AP(1)
  • Death Wheels now have Tough(6)

Rebel Guerrillas

  • Added new unit: Rebel Psychic
  • Removed units: Warrior Monk, Commandos, Light Walker
  • Added Psychic Spells list
  • Re-worked Guerrilla Tactics rule
  • Re-worked Hidden Tunnels rule
  • Re-worked upgrade lists for Rebels and Strikers

Soul-Snatchers

  • Fixed point cost of Soul-Snatcher Patriarch

Wormhole Daemons

  • Fixed upgrade list letters on all factions

General

  • Removed the Harpoon upgrade from all Skirmish armies

Clans of the War Cry

  • Re-worked most melee and ranged weapons
  • Re-worked most hero special rules

Deep-Sea Elves

  • Re-worked Wizard spells
  • Re-worked Spirit Render’s Pet Swordfish
  • Re-worked Spirit Scryer’s Piranha Swarm and Metal Claw
  • Sea Servants have new melee upgrades
  • War-Shark Riders now have Defense 2+ and their ranged weapons are optional
  • Re-worked Giant War-Turtle’s Chomp attack

Eternal Wardens

  • Prime Wardens now have 6 melee attacks and Fear, but lost Ambush
  • Re-worked all hero mounts
  • Re-worked Wizard spells
  • Herald Knights now have Greatswords
  • Relic Lords now have a Relic Banner weapon
  • Sequitur Squads now have Combat Stance
  • Re-worked most melee and ranged weapons
  • Beast-Hounds now have 4 melee attacks
  • Hunter Squads can now upgrade with Hand Axes

Ghostly Undead

  • Most units lost the Fear rule
  • Grim King and Grieving Queen are now Tough(6)
  • Re-worked Fear the King Rule
  • Re-worked Wizard spells
  • Ghost Knight lost AP(1) but gained new melee upgrades
  • Re-worked Ghost Ram mount
  • Executioners now have Deadly(3) in melee
  • Ghost Jailors now have AP(2) in melee
  • Re-worked Capture Souls rule
  • Ghost Hordes have new melee upgrades
  • Re-worked Ghost Revenants
  • Re-worked Glaive Stalkers
  • Re-worked Dread Knights

Humans

  • Light Cavalry can now take Shortbows

Kingdom of Angels

  • Added new units: Palace Guard and Panthers
  • Captains and Champions have new melee upgrades
  • Re-worked Wizard spells
  • Infantry and Paladins have new melee upgrades
  • Marksmen can now have Bows or Crossbows

Mummified Undead

  • Fixed the Stone Shaper upgrade
