New Minis Store, Painting Challenge & Lots of Videos!

2D Print, Game Jam, Physical Minis, Video Content, WebApp

Hi everyone,

Today I have a densely packed updated with you, and a bunch of awesome things have been happening this week. We’ve been working hard on the army forge, we have a new minis store, there’s a community painting challenge, a new starter set… lots of stuff.

Let’s get to it!

OPR Game Jam #4 – Join Now!

In just a few hours it’s time for the next game jam already, so make sure to sign up!

The OPR Game Jam is a 48hr game making marathon, focused on creating one-page miniatures games. The game jam runs from November 12th, at 8PM UK time / 3PM ET time, to November 14th, at 8PM UK time / 3PM ET time.

Anyone can submit a game, and you may work alone or in teams. The games will then be judged by the public, and then we will highlight the top 3 voted games on the OPR website. There is no winner or prize, it’s all just for fun!

Sign up for the game jam here (it’s free):

WebApp Updates

Work on the Army Forge (beta) continues, and it’s crazy to see how much it has improved already within the last 2 weeks that it’s been live. All armies are now live, except for the Watch Brothers (will be fixed soon).

Right now we’re working on a new page, where you will be able to access to PDFs as well, so that you can access everything conveniently in one place online. The PDFs will be auto-generated by the webapp, so there might be some minor bugs there as well, but that’s to be expected from a beta.

Outside of that, we’d like to remind everyone that the v2.50 army lists are very much still in beta, so you can expect them to change wildly as we keep working on them. Things are starting to feel more solid now, but there will still be updates, so be prepared.

Buy physical minis on Only-Games!

Last week we explained why our Etsy store has been shut down for the last few weeks, and today we’re really happy to announce that you’re finally able to buy all of our models again through our new store on!

All of the models that were available on Etsy are now available through this site, and since it’s created by the manufacturer and has a direct link to the factory, all orders should now run buttery smooth. The site is still in its early stages, so you might find minor interface bugs here and there, but nothing has changed in the miniatures production, so you can expect the usual high quality prints as always.

Army Painting Challenge

This month user colonelhawkrin starter an army painting challenge on the forum, which we think deserves to get more attention!

The challenge is quite simple: post a picture of your unpainted army with a time stamp, and get it painted by the 25th of December. Armies will receive points based on the amount of models that are fully painted, with reduced points for half-painted models.

This contest is just for fun, and there are no prizes (except for bragging rights).

New 2D Minis Released

The new Duchies of Vinci and Alien Hives sets are available on Patreon.

These are the first sets we’re releasing with our new setup, where we make the 2D minis look as close as possible to our 3D minis, whilst still maintaining our classic style. On top of that we’re also adding a TON more variation to our sets, giving you 2-3 times as many minis!

New AoF: Regiments Starter Set

Speaking of 2D minis, after countless requests, we have finally released a starter set for AoF: Regiments, featuring Saurians vs Orcs.

The starter set gives you everything you need to start playing exciting battles right away, without having to worry about painting miniatures or putting together your own army lists.

Grab the start set by clicking here!

New Video Content

That’s it for now, we’ll be back in a few hours to reveal the jam theme, don’t forget to sign up now!

Happy Wargaming!
