This week Wyloch’s Armory posted a great how to play Grimdark Future video on YouTube, which covers all aspects of the game and OPR as a whole.
If you’ve never played the game, or have always wondered if you’ve been missing out on something, then this video is for you. Make sure to also check out his battle report series.
Age of Fantasy: Regiments Battle Report
It’s awesome to see more and more videos being made for our games, and this week Stonehorse Gaming also released an awesome battle report for AoF: Regiments. This demo game shows off all of the basics of the game in a single battle, so it’s also perfect for players that are still trying to learn the game.
OPR Community Wiki
Did you know that OPR has an official Community Wiki now?
The wiki was created to provide a place where new players can find more information about our games, as well as find extensive miniatures libraries to know which models can be used for different units.
There are also games and faction pages that fill you in on the background stories of our games, and there are tactics pages to give you a better idea on how to play each faction.
The wiki is pretty new and still needs to be filled with a lot of content, so everyone is welcome to contribute by adding new pages, completing information on existing ones, adding miniature pictures, writing tactics, etc.
There are templates for all sorts of pages, so you just need to copy those and fill them out!
Infected Colonies are settlements that have been infected by a mysterious virus which mutates them into blood-hungry warriors. Those that have been infected are categorized into different stages, with each stage having a different effect on the mutated subject.
Nico makes really amazing models for RPGs and wargames, and if you support him on Patreon you not only get access to his full archive of models, but also get custom miniatures made by him to your liking!
For the next few months we’ll be releasing sets of his lovingly drawn Space Elves models, which come in 4 different colors and feature front and back art.
Today we’ve got a bunch of new stuff for you, a writing jam, new grimdark models, new fantasy models, new spaceship models, a quickstart section, a game update, and even a new battle report for you to watch.
Let’s get to it!
OPR Writing Jam #1
Before we delve into all of the new goodies we got for you this month, let’s talk about the OPR Writing Jam, which is a brand new concept for us, and a bit of an experiment.
For the longest time people have been asking us for more narrative, and there are many of you in the community that have been more than happy to share your own stories and takes on the OPR universe. Since we got so many awesome and creative submissions from fans, we think that it’s a shame that only we get to read them.
So today we’re introducing the OPR Writing Jam!
The OPR writing jam is a 48hr story writing marathon, focused on writing one-page stories set in the OPR universe. We want to stress that this is about writing stories set in the OPR universe, and not to write stories based off another game’s universe and just change the names to fit within the OPR universe.
The writing jam runs from September 11th, at 8PM UK time / 3PM ET time, to September 13th, at 8PM UK time / 3PM ET time. There will be a 1 week public voting period, and then we will highlight a couple of our favourites on our website. This is just for fun, so there are no prizes or winners.
The submission process is pretty simple. At the start of the jam we will announce a theme, and then you will have 48hrs to write a 500-1000 words story set in the OPR universe. The story must fit on a single sheet, and we will be providing templates for you to use.
Starting the jam has been a very spontaneous decision, and we’re curious to see how it goes. If this is well received, then we could see ourselves having more writing jams in the future, or trying out different concepts. :)
New Alien Hives and Mummified Undead Models
This month we’ve got a ton of new 3D print models for you, so let’s start with our two new armies for Grimdark Future and Age of Fantasy.
The Alien Hives and Mummified Undead are going to be released over a period of 3 months, and each month we’ll be releasing 1 hero and 2 units for each army (~7 model each, for ~14 models total). At the end of the 3 months you can expect to have 3 heroes and 6 units for each army, and we’re also going to try and include some bigger models in there as well (monsters anyone?). This means that for just $30 you’re going to get 30+ models just in these 2 armies, plus all of the spaceship models, new games, expansions, and more!
These models are being created in collaboration with Punga Miniatures, and we’d like to thank the whole team for the amazing result: Rim, Bulat, Radmir and Guzel
The Alien Hives are being sculpted by Radmir: INSTAGRAM
The Mummified Undead are being sculpted by Bulat: INSTAGRAM
All of the renders are being done by Guzel: ARTSTATION
And of course the production is being done by Rim: WEBSITE
This is just the beginning of these two armies, and we’re looking forward to seeing more of them come out, and can’t wait to release the full armies after these 3 months. Of course by supporting us on Patreon you get a TON more content, so make sure to check out our September release overview: https://www.patreon.com/posts/41104102
Note that we are still pending on the renders for the Alien Hives hero and the second unit, and we’ll make sure to update everyone once those are released.
New Empire Fleet Models
You thought that was all for this month’s model releases? Think again!
This month we’re seeing the first FTL fleet being released, starting with the Empire Fleet. The FTL fleets are going to be released over a period of 6 months, and each month we’ll be releasing 4 models for each fleet (3 ship types +1 squadron). At the end of the 6 months you can expect to have all 24 models, plus the Full Rulebook for FTL, giving you the complete range of FTL fleets. That’s right, for just $10/month you’re not only getting all of the models for the other 2 armies, but also a new FTL fleet.
So, you love the idea of spaceship battles, you want to give FTL a try, but you don’t have any models or a 3D printer? We’ve still got you covered!
Alongside our 3D print fleets we’re also going to release a 2D print fleet every month, giving everyone a chance to play FTL. This follows the exact same system as the 3D print fleets, so you get a new fleet with 4 models each month, and you will have all of them together at the end of the 6 months. The basic 1 color version is available for just $3/month, whilst the full 2 color version is available for just $5/month.
And this is not all for you 2D print fans, because this month we’ll also have a new 2D print army for Grimdark Future coming out, which will be the Infected Colonies. But more on that later when they’re ready to be released…
New Quickstart Section
As some of you might have already noticed, we have re-designed our landing page, adding a couple of new features to make life easier. We now have a button for the news section (because some people didn’t realize we had one), as well as a button that leads straight to our monthly Patreon release highlight.
Most importantly though, we’ve added a button that leads to a new “start here” page.
This page serves to introduce new players to everything they need to know about OPR, from the fact that our games are free, to how the project is supported on patreon, to a step by step guide on getting started.
The step-by-step guide was designed to give the easiest introduction possible to our games, with just the one-page rules first, and then a series of brand new quickstart sets, which include the beginner’s guide, some pre-made army lists, as well as 2D miniature tokens and terrain. This is the absolute best way to introduce someone that’s new to wargaming to our games, and is the perfect package to run demo games or share the rules with new starters.
Then there’s even more stuff on the page. We’ve added a battle report by Wyloch’s Armory for those that would like to see the game in action, as well as links to all of our social media, community pages and the newsletter.
All in all we think that it turned out pretty great, although we might keep tweaking it as things go along. Big shout out to Perram on Discord who pushed me to actually implement this, thanks a lot!
The Orc Marauders have always been a very “controversial” faction in Grimdark Future. They’re one of the most played factions out there, but also one of the hardest to play right. In the hands of the right player, and with the right conditions, they can be absolutely brutal, however for a lot of players they just end up being frustrating because they are much harder to play than they look.
After a lot of discussion we’re decided to take a couple of small steps to address this issue, and hopefully give players the tools that they need to feel that they can be more competitive when playing Orc Marauders. This is not a complete overhaul of the army, but instead just a couple of tweaks to tip the scales.
Here’s the full changes:
Mechanics and Shamans now have access to upgrade list B
Fixed cost of Ultra Armor on list C
Heroes can now take Jetpacks
Added new special rule SHOOT!
Lowered cost of WAR! and Mad Doctor
Specialist Orcs and Orc Pirates now have Relentless
Modified weapons and upgrades for Specialist Orcs and Orc Pirates
Mini Helicopters now have Impact(3) as an upgrade
Most Vehicles can be upgraded with Relentless
Condensed multiple buggy types into a Combat Kart
We hope that these small changes allow players to play with the army in new and interesting ways, and hopefully be able to mitigate some of the army’s weaknesses, whilst still maintaining that core Orc Marauders identity.
Age of Fantasy Battle Report and Review (German)
Finally this week we were very delighted when we found out that German channel Bier und Brezel Tabletop filmed a full battle report and provided an in-depth review of Age of Fantasy.
The battle report is very well filmed, and there is great commentary that explains everything that’s happening in detail, so this also serves as a great “how to play” video as well. The review section is also really great, going over the pros and cons of the system, and it’s great to see someone that truly understands the strengths of the system make a review for it.
For those of you that don’t speak German you can watch the video with YouTube’s auto-translated captions, although we can’t vouch for the quality of the translation. :D
Saying that we’ve got a ton of new stuff to show you today is an understatement, so we hope you’re strapped in for yet another big post.
We’ve got new games, new 2D models, new 3D tokens & rulers, as well as a preview of the amazing September releases, plus some other stuff.
Let’s get to it!
GF: Arena & AoF: Arena – Season 1
Starting off with a bang we’ve got 2 new games available in early access on Patreon right now, which were widely requested by you in our last Community Survey.
GF: Arena & AoF: Arena are hex-based arena games that are play lightning fast and are centered around warband customization to find the best and craziest combos.
When preparing your warband for battle you’ll have the option between picking different combinations of models, as well as equipping them with upgrades from a selection of faction-specific and common cards.
During the game each player will also have a tactics board which provides models with additional special actions, reactions and objectives that they can use to gain an advantage. These tactics boards are also customizable, with players being able to mix-and-match from a selection of faction-specific and common abilities.
Season 1 features the Battle Brothers, Orc Marauders and Alien Hives for GF, whilst for AoF it features the Humans, Vampiric Undead and the Mummified Undead. On top of that you’ll also get common upgrades and tactics boards, model stat cards, hex-arena boards, play tokens, and everything you need to get going.
The game comes with a one-page version of the rules, as well as a basic rulebook that explains everything in detail with lots of really helpful diagrams and examples.
Right now Season 1 is only available on Patreon, and we’re planning on a public release toward the end of September. The games will be available for free with black & white components, whilst full color versions will be sold on WargameVault.
Once the game has gone public, Season 2 will be made available exclusively on Patreon until the 3rd season is released. The plan is to get the first 2 seasons out by the end of the year so that there’s plenty of content for everyone to play with, but after that each new season will only be released every 6 months.
These are some of the most fun games we’ve made, with the high level of customization and quick gameplay making for a very addictive loop. We can’t wait to see more people play it and share their own crazy combos!
It seems like it was just yesterday that we announced FTL, but here we are 2 months into development already!
Over the past few weeks we’ve had all of our artists put together a bunch of assets for the game, and now that we’re seeing it all come together the game is really starting to look quite amazing. It’s always great seeing a game start out from just a few notes and then develop into a full product.
Anyway, as we already mentioned last week, we took a break from FTL to work on the arena games (which came out pretty great if I can say so myself), and have now delved back into the development of FTL. There are still some things that need to be ironed out of course, but the game is evolving in a good direction, so we’re quite happy about it.
If you want to get your hands on the game right now you can support us on Patreon, but in the meantime here is a first look at the cover art for the game.
Kingdom of Angels Army Pack
Alright, enough about games, now let’s get to some models!
First up we’ve got some amazing new Kingdom of Angels models for 2D printing, which come in two variations, one inspired by ancient mesopotamia whilst the other is inspired by more nordic tribes.

Here the details of everything in the set:

Grimdark Future in Portuguese
Finally here’s some good news for our Portuguese speaking players, as Schaten from the forum has released a translation of the basic rulebook for Grimdark Future.
Today we’ve got an awesome new collaboration, some updates on the Vile Rattus, a new free 3D print model, and the release of a starter set for Age of Fantasy.
Collaboration with Manuel Boria
This month we’ve got a special treat for you in terms of 3D models, as we’ve partnered up with the amazing Manuel Boria, who makes awesome models for wargames and RPGs. His models are available on Patreon, MyMiniFactory and Thingiverse, and they are an absolute treat! :D
If you’ve never heard of him and are interested in fantasy miniatures, then you should definitely check his stuff out. Not only does he make really epic heroes and warriors, but also really adorable monster cubs.
The models can of course be used for any other games, for example WarStuff, or even Deathball with just a few sports-related modifications. The sky is the limit with these amazing models! :D
Vile Rattus Cult
If you missed the Kickstarter Campaign for the Vile Rattus Cult fret not, because That EvilOne has now put up all of these rat-tastic models up for sale on CGTrader, which you can check out by clicking HERE.
Free Fanatic Sisters Model
This week we released yet another free model on Thingiverse, this time a battle-ready Fanatic Sister.
If you want to help us out please make sure to give the model a like, thanks! :)
Island of Doom – AoF Starter Set
Since the release of the Battle for Magellan-2 Starter Set players have been asking us to make similar starter sets for our other games, and this week we’re happy to release the Island of Doom starter set.
This starter set contains the core rules, 12 unit stat cards, two complete paper armies with 43 miniatures, 11 flat terrain pieces and a set of 106 play tokens, making for an awesome starter package.
If you’re interested you can get this starter set for just $4.99 by clicking HERE.
These starter sets don’t have multiple army colors or terrain seasons like you get on Patreon, so the best deal is still to subscribe there, but they should hopefully give more players a new way to find and try out our games. :)
That’s it for today, make sure to tune in next week for some game updates and more releases.
Today we’ve got so much new stuff for you that we don’t even know where to begin!
In today’s update you’ll find news about the release of a new narrative campaign, a huge balance update that’s affecting most armies, more updates on specific armies, new 2D and 3D models, and much much more.
Over this past week we’ve also been running a community campaign, but honestly with so much stuff in today’s update we don’t think it’s the right time to share the results yet, as they deserve a biggest spotlight. Because of this you can expect the results next week.
Anyway, let’s get the show on the road!
Jakob’s Path: Chapter 1
Something that players have been asking us for a long time is to provide more narrative for our games, involving epic stories of battles and heroes across the worlds we’ve built.
Well, the time has finally come, and this week we’re super happy to release the first chapter of our first Grimdark Future narrative campaign: Jakob’s Path.
Jakob’s Path is a narrative campaign for Grimdark Future, which is being released in 5 chapters. Each chapter continues the story and features 2 new missions for you to play. Whilst the campaign was written with Battle Brothers vs Orc Marauders in mind, it can be played with any other factions and whatever models you have.
Chapter 1 begins the adventure with Jakob and his Battle Brothers landing on the mysterious planet of Zeloria-M5, looking to neutralize any Orc Marauders that inhabit it. Little did they know that they would find much more than just some pesky greenskins on the planet…
Note that you must be a Tier 2 patron to access to the link above.
This campaign is going to be available exclusively on Patreon until all 5 chapters have been released, after which it will go up for sale on our WargameVault Store at a higher price.
The story was written by Gabriela Rebelo who took part in the writer’s submission challenge, and you can expect more narrative campaigns in the future written by other people that submitted their stories!
Battle Sisters Army Pack
For our line of 2D print models this week we’ve release the Battle Sisters army pack.
Battle Sisters are all-female splinter factions of the Battle Brothers, which follow the lead of their own god-queen. They are equipped with custom heavy battle armor and wield powerful flame weapons to purge the galaxy.
To help you get into the game ASAP, here is a Quickplay Army you can use with these models:
1x High Sister w/ Pistol & Energy Sword
10x Battle Sisters w/ 1x Heavy Flamethrower
10x Battle Sisters w/ 1x Fusion Rifle
10x Fanatic Sisters
2D Print Tutorials
Speaking of 2D miniatures, we’ve decided to add a little tutorial page at the end of all of our 2D print files, showing you 2 different methods you can use to assemble your armies. Hopefully this will help new player to understand how to use them easily, and experiment with different methods to find what works best for them.
Beastmen Assassin by Ilhadiel
Moving on to 3D printing, this month we got the last model made in collaboration with the amazing Ilhadiel, and you should definitely check out his Patreon here: https://www.patreon.com/ilhadiel
Beastmen Assassins protect their herds by killing those that threaten their lands. They work silently and without thanks, bloodying their hands to save their kind.
As previously announced we are going to close down the current Discourse forum and switch back to a Proboards forum at the end of the month, so if you’ve got anything to save then do it now: http://forum.onepagerules.com/
The old forum has already been re-opened, and we’ll switch the URL when the switch has been completed, but if you want to already register now you can do it: https://onepagerules.proboards.com/
Finally let’s move onto the game updates.
As some of you may have already noticed, some of the more elite armies and vehicles in the game can be very pricey, almost to the point of making them underpowered. This stems from the fact that until not a 2+ defense value has been very expensive, which was tipping the balance a little too much in favor of cheaper armies.
So, in a stroke of absolute madness we decided to re-balance the cost of 2+ during the last week, which meant that we’ve had to update almost every army book in the game. Luckily enough we had some volunteers to help out, but it was still a ton of work.
You can expect most vehicles to be cheaper, as well as all of the elite armies to be cheaper, which will hopefully shift the balance of the game enough to make them a bit more viable against horde armies, especially in skirmish.
This update is coming for all games, so you can also expect monsters and chariots to be cheaper in fantasy, as well as some of the other more resilient units out there.
Prime Brothers + Robot Legions Updates
With a new boxed set hitting the street we went ahead and added a couple of new units to the Prime Brothers and the Robot Legions, as well as doing some more changes.
Prime Brothers now all have the Firstborn special rule, which gives them Regeneration against non-spell attacks, making them a bit tougher to crack. Then we added 1 new hero and 4 new units, as well as giving all heroes the ability to take combat shields.
Robot Legions also got a bunch of new stuff, with 2 new heroes and 2 new units, as well as some new equipment for Overseers, Technomancers and Warriors. It’s a good day to be a robot.
We’ve also come up with some Quickplay Armies for you to get into the game if you got the boxed set.
1x Captain w/ Pistol, Energy Sword, Combat Shield & War Chant
Today we’re very excited to announce a new game, show off some of the models we released this week, share a couple of small game updates and give you a preview of what’s to come next month!
Faster than Light
The time has finally come to reveal our next game: Faster than Light (FTL)
FTL is a spaceship battles game inspired by the likes of Battlefleet Gothic, Star Wars Armada, Dropfleet Commander and our very own WarFleets. This will be a full game, so not just a one-off, with its own rulebook, armies, advanced rules, expansions, etc.
This will be a miniature agnostic game as usual, so you can use models new and old from any game like Battlefleet Gothic, Star Wars Aramada, Dropfleet Commander, Firestorm Armada, etc.
The game is available in early access right now, and will remain in early access until we feel that it’s ready for public release, with solid core rules and multiple factions to pick from. If you’d like to check out the game, help out playtesting it, and generally take part in the development, then join our Patreon.
We’re really excited to be working on a new game and can’t wait to reveal more details as we go. :D
Ratmen Champion Released
This week we’ve released the last model in our Ratmen collaboration with ThatEvilOne, and are very happy about how everything turned out. He makes really amazing models, and also has an upcoming Kickstarter for even more Ratmen stuff, which we’ll make sure to notify you about!
In today’s update we have some new models, some old models, and some updates about future models… so yeah, everything is revolving around models today. :D
Battle Sisters Fanatics
The first 3D release of the month are the brutal Battle Sisters Fanatics, who charge into combat with their heavy chainsaw swords. This kit comes with 5 different heads and poses (and massive chainsaw swords).
“Battle Sisters Fanatics leave behind their heavy wargear to stay light on their feet and quickly get in the enemy’s face, cutting them down with their heavy chainsaw swords.”
Note that you must be a Tier 3 patron to access to the link above.
These models are going to be available exclusively on Patreon until the 29th of June, after which they will go up for sale on our CGTrader store at a higher price.
2D Paper Terrain
On the 2D side we’ve got some mixed paper terrain, which you can use for games with plastic models or paper models, making it super fast to get a game going.
The mixed terrain pack comes with 2 fields, 2 groups of scatter terrain, 2 barricades, 2 forests and 3 ruins. There are 4 different seasons available, each with their own flavor and little details to make then special.
Free Models – black & white version is available for free
Today we’re going to be highlighting a couple of cool games from the game jam, and we’ve also got some new 3D print and 2D paper models for you. Oh, and a little teaser at the end…
Game Jam Results
This year’s game jam was a great success, with 65 participants creating 23 awesome games, we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out (especially for a first try)!
Now that everyone has had a chance to check out and rate the various games, we wanted to highlight a couple of them that we found particularly interesting. These are not the “best” games or the “winners” of the jam, but simply some of the games that sparked our imagination.
The Night of the Hunt is really interesting because it takes the concept of asymmetric design and really runs with it, whilst also remaining enough in familiar territory that it’s really intuitive to play. Since this was the top rated game of the jam we’ll be diving deep into what makes it so awesome. :D
One player takes the role of the monster, a single powerful entity set out to cause mayhem in town, whilst the other player controls a group of hunters that want to rid the world of this evil.
There are lots of cool features in this game, such as the varied objectives available and the high level of customization for both the monster and the hunters, but the most interesting feature is how different the monster plays from the hunters.
This is because whilst the monster is alone, it starts out with a lot of information that the hunters don’t have, making for a tense game of cat and mouse. The monster starts out in a hidden state, with no model on the board, and controls its movement and actions by noting them secretly on a piece of paper. In the meantime the hunters are going around trying to find him before he completes his secret objective.
It’s this disparity of information that leads to some really interesting situations, with the monster hiding in the shadows and then jumping out to devour a hunter before hiding again. Really exciting stuff!
We can imagine it being very interesting to try out the game with multiple players each controlling a hunter, or even adding in a second monster for more mayhem.
Mechanichrome also executes beautifully on the concept of asymmetric design, but takes it in a very different direction, with one player taking control of a band of explorers, whilst the other player acts almost as a GM, preparing the ruins with traps and using the guards that protect the data treasure.
What makes this game really interesting is that almost everything is controlled via a deck of cards, from exploring new parts of the ruins to attacking or grabbing treasure, and the interactions between the cards can add really interesting twists to how the game plays out.
Add a high level of customization of explorer stats as well as lots of different guard types and other threats, and you’ve got yourself an exciting game of exploration and high stakes combat.
Super Ranger Squadron immediately caught our eye thanks to its colorful sentai setting, but actually ended up having us hooked to its suit-based card mechanics. The game has interesting asymmetric design with one player controlling 5 customizable rangers, whilst the other player controls endless waves of bad guys.
The rangers have special powers that are only activated when a specific suit is drawn, and their goal is to remove specific cards from their deck, lowing their overall strength but bringing them closer to their objective. The bad guy on the other hand has a random objective that he has to complete, whilst trying to stall the rangers long enough so that they can’t assemble all aces and joker.
This game is really interesting because everything is controlled via a deck of cards, and it also has lots of fun mechanics on top of that, such as the bad guys picking up rangers and running off with them. :D
Finally we’ve got to mention Vostok, which even though didn’t really follow the asymmetric design theme was far to interesting for us to pass by in this highlight section.
Vostok is a solo survival game set in a post-apocalyptic frozen wasteland. Players start off by creating a custom tribe and then set out to explore the wasteland during the day, and then do upkeep at night.
The game uses a really interesting 2D6 system for all of its actions, with the wasteland “reacting” based on the rolls, which makes for very tense exploration where every roll could bring out new dangers. Then during the night your tribe members advance their abilities, and they can even conceive children which grow up and can go out on missions as well once they’ve become adults.
This game is filled with interesting ideas, and we highly encourage the creator to keep working on it, because this could become something epic (feel free to drop us an e-mail if you need any advice).
Today we’re hitting the final stages of preparation for the OPR Game Jam 2020, plus we got lots of updates regarding our official miniatures, and a little “zoom” bonus at the end.
OPR Game Jam 2020

In order to make things interesting and get the community involved we’ve also decided to let the community vote on what the jam’s theme will be (the final theme will only be revealed at the start of the jam).
Finally someone on our Discord server came up with the fun idea of using the cover art for our games as their zoom background picture, so we quickly put together a couple of re-formatted versions that you can use yourself.

That’s it for today, we’ll make sure to post an update tomorrow when the game jam goes live so that you can all get in on it as soon as it’s ready! :D
In today’s update we’re bringing you three brand new fantasy armies, some changes to the campaign rules, a couple of quickplay armies, as well as previews for what models we’re going to be releasing in May.
OPR Game Jam 2020
Before we begin we’d like to remind everyone that the first ever global game jam for miniature games is going to happen next weekend (8th of May to 10th of May)!
This will be a 48hr game making marathon, focused on creating one-page miniatures games. Anyone will be able to submit a game, and you can work alone or in teams.
When the jam is over everyone will be able to judge the games, and then we will highlight a few of our favourite games on the OPR website.
The theme will be revealed on the day of the jam, so make sure to sign up now and keep your eyes peeled so that you can get creating straight away!
New Fantasy Armies
If you love Age of Fantasy then you’re going to love the three new armies we’re releasing today: Halflings, Havoc Dwarves and Shadow Stalkers.
Halflings are tiny humanoids even smaller than dwarves, and one of the most ancient races found in Tyria. Even though they might not look like strong warriors, they make up for their small size in luck and courage, so don’t underestimate them.
This army was inspired by the super cool models released as part of the TTCombat KS, as well as miniatures from other manufacturers available online.
Havoc Dwarves are a faction of dwarves that have been corrupted by the havoc gods, and are now systematically razing one city after the next. Their bodies are covered in heavy armor sealed by the power of havoc, making them able to withstand even the mightiest of blows.
Shadow Stalkers are elusive and nightmarish horrors that warp into being seemingly out of nowhere and haunt small villages all across of Tyria. Nothing is known about them except that they usually strike at night, and that their armies are lead by mighty pumpkin-head kings.
This army was inspired by the spooky Mantic Nightstalkers models, which feature everything from pumpkin-head scarecrows to cthulu-like monsters.
Campaign Rules Updates
After taking part in the recent Grimdark Future community campaign we’ve gone ahead and updated the Campaign Rules based on some of the feedback we got.
Here the changes:
Tweaked underdog rules to be a little more balanced
Added optional rules for playing without permadeath
Units can’t get the same level up trait more than once anymore
Miniature Releases for May
Now that April has come to an end we’re ready to give you an update on what miniatures are going to be released on Patreon this May.
3D Print Models:
Sci-Fi – Battle Sisters Jetpack Squad
Sci-Fi – Ratmen Shaman – in collaboration with ThatEvilOne
Fantasy – Beastmen Champion – in collaboration with Ilhadiel
2D Print Models
Sci-Fi – Alien Hives
None of these models are fully ready yet, but we’re planning on making 1-2 releases per week so that we can get them in your hands ASAP. :D
2D Print Quickplay Armies
Quickplay Armies are pre-made army lists designed to be ready to play out of the box, without the need to count point costs or create your own lists. They are the perfect thing to dip your toes into new armies and see if you like them!
This month we started releasing 2D print models, which were all put together with some army lists in mind, however we never shared those with you, which was dumb…
So today we’re going to share the quickplay armies that our 2D print sets were based around, and in the future whenever we release a new set we’ll release a new quickplay army to go with it as well.
