This past week I have been extremely busy, spending most of my time on the overhaul of the arena games. I have now converted all 13 existing warbands into the new system, and have been playtesting them every day, trying to further refine and optimize the system. Depending on how it goes there will be a public version available by the end of the month, so here’s hoping!
Aside from that I’ve also spent some time working on some minor army updates, plus the preparation of a bunch of stuff that was released via Patreon this week.
Anyway, let’s get to the actual updates!

Minor Army Updates
Today we’ve updated the Saurian and Robot Legion armies, adding some new weapon options to go with some of our new cool models. Additionally we have tweaked the Beastmen army, making Ambush optional on some of the core units so that they can be a little more competitive.
Here’s the changelog:
Robot Legions – Annihilator Overseers can now be upgraded with Heavy Gauss Cannons
Beastmen – Ambush is now optional for units of Hunters, Warriors and Raiders
Saurians – Guardians can now replace their Halberds with Great Weapons
Minor FTL Update
Today we’ve also updated the rules for FTL, fixing an oversight in the ramming rules. Now ships are pushed when rammed by ships of the same size or higher, instead of only when being rammed by bigger ships, which gives ramming a nice boost.
We also would like to remind everyone that this is the last month that the Full Rulebook for FTL is available on Patreon, so make sure to grab it now before it goes up in price!
2 New Free 3D Models (17 Total)
With a new month and a new release, we’ve also added 2 new models for free to our 3DCults Page. Make sure to download the Gecko and Robot Guardian for a test print!
Patreon News
This week has seen quite a few new releases, with a new chapter of Darkness Within, as well as some 2D hero models to go with it, plus a new 2D gang with The Brutes.
On the 3D side of things we’ve got a new collaboration going with Dragon Trapper’s Lodge, who were so kind to give us a free model and a special discount for their anniversary.
If you’re not supporting OPR on Patreon already then you’re missing out. Support us at the $5 tier to get $50+ worth of content, or at the $10 tier to get $100+ worth of content!
Grimdark Future: Firefight – Solo Batrep
That’s it for this week, we’ll see you next week for the writing jam!
Today we’ve got some small game updates for you, some big changes for warfleets, some new models, a new one-off game and even a battle report.
Let’s get to it!
Game Updates
Today we’ve updated a 30+ army lists in order to provide some much needed hotfixes, clearing up some confusing rules, as well as tweaking a couple of units and special rules.
Here’s all the changes:
GF & AoF – Multiple Armies
Rules that allow units to block spells as if they were Psychic/Wizard now get +2 to block
Rules that allow units to repair damage now work on 2+ instead of 4+
Shield Wall rule now only works when all models have the rule
GF – Robot Legions
Tri-Scorpion Pistoleer now has Ambush and Hunter, but only Tough(3)
GF & AoF – Havoc Brothers / Havoc Warriors
Added new unit: Furies
Warfleets: FTL Update
As previously announced, we’ve been secretly working on a D6 version of Warfleets: FTL for a couple of months now, and today we’re very happy to release the game for everyone.
Even though we think that the 2D6 version of the game was awesome in its own right, the actual gameplay ended up being a little bit slower and more mathy then our original vision. By switching to a D6 based system, we’re making the game much faster and more cinematic, without sacrificing any of the strategy.
With this we are considering the bulk of the game to be done, and the Full Rulebook is going to be released for everyone in March. If you want the Full Rulebook (plus much more) right now, then you can get it by supporting us on Patreon.
We know that a lot of you like the 2D6 version, so we’re doing two things to keep you happy:
The current 2D6 version will remain available on our website until the 31st of January for you to download. It comes in a .zip with all of the core rules, faction book and the basic rulebook. Make sure to download it by clicking here before it’s gone.
We’ve updated the Orion’s Gate rules to be more in line with all of the improvements from FTL, and they’re available for download in the One-Off Games section. These rules are not going to be removed, meaning that a 2D6 battleships game is always going to be available for you.
Give the game a try, we think you’re going to love it! ;)
Soul Forge Studio
Speaking of Warfleets: FTL, as many of you know, a few months back we release a few sets of 3D Spaceships, which were made by the talented Danny Cyanide.
Well, over the past few months Danny been running his own Patreon called Soul Forge Studio, which focuses on releasing awesome BFG style ships, which are fully modular!
This week we’ve also released two new paper minis sets with the Ratmen Clans and the Xenos Fleet, which are available for download on Patreon.
As a side-note, with this release we’ve also added the Ratmen Clans warband to arena season 3, and we’re currently working on generally streamlining and improving the game. We will be postin more info on that soon, so keep your eyes peeled arena fans!
Little Dice Wars
Whilst looking through our archive we found an old game we made called Little Dice Wars, which is an adaptation of Little Wars by H. G Wells, so that it’s playable with modern miniatures and dice, instead of using lead soldiers and firing toy guns.
For those of you that are unfamiliar with Little Wars, this is the game that basically started it all. It’s the grandaddy of modern miniature games and laid the foundations for most of the wargames you play today.
We’re sure that some of you will appreciate this little game and after playing it a couple times it actually has some really interesting mechanics that you don’t see in modern wargames (no dice rolling for infantry combat, taking prisoners of war, what?!).
Did you know that there’s an OPR podcast? Well now that it’s on YouTube make sure to subscribe so that you don’t miss out on the latest episode!
Grimdark Future Batrep
Last but not least, Sad and Lonely Gamer has posted a new Grimdark Future Solo-Batrep, this time featuring 1500pts of HDF vs 2000pts of High Elf Fleets. Very interesting match!
That’s it for today, come back next week for a new chapter of Darkness Within, as well as previews for what will be released in the coming months!
We hope that everyone had a great winter holiday and a great new years eve!
This update is going to be fairly light, just keeping you up to speed with the latest releases, the painting competition, and we’ve also got a new free model for you.
Let’s get to it!
December + January Painting Contest
First up, we’d like to congratulate the winners of the December painting contest!
1st Place – Erna Maister
2nd Place – Noladd
3rd Place – Scorn Mandark
Bonus – Yrcrazypa
With that contest out of the way, it’s now time for the January contest to begin. Due to some production delays with our new Saurian models, we’re extending the deadline to the 25th of January for this month!
RULES: Paint any 1 model from our December release and share a high resolution picture of it on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or Discord. Make sure to share a high resolution picture and tag @onepagerules so that we don’t miss it!
PRIZE: The community will vote for the best submissions, and the top 3 will get one FREE month on Patreon at Tier 2. As a bonus one random participant will also get the prize!
NOTE: The miniatures should be painted by you, no commission painting allowed. By entering the contest you give OPR permission to share the pictures on our social media, etc.
Good luck everyone!
Jakob’s Path Released
The Jakob’s Path narrative campaign for Grimdark Future has now been released to the public, and is available for purchase on WGV/DTRPG. The story follows an epic clash between Battle Brothers and Orcs over the course of 10 missions, although it can be played with any other armies as well.
The standalone campaign is just $4.99, but we’ve also got a bundle for $11.99 that includes paper miniatures for two full armies of Battle Brothers and Orcs, plus paper miniatures of all the heroes in the campaign, plus a complete set of paper terrain.
We also just released season 2 of both Grimdark Future: Arena and Age of Fantasy: Arena. You can find the free rules on the individual game pages, whilst the complete versions are available on WGV/DTRPG.
To celebrate the release of season 2, we’ve lowered the price of each individual season to $4.99, and we’ve also got season 1+2 bundles for each of them, all for only $7.99. These include full color miniatures for all factions, full color hex boards, as well as full color play tokens and deadly hexes.
Now that season 2 has been released, we’re going to be starting work on season 3, which will only be available in early access for the next 6 months. If you’re an arena fan, then make sure to support us on Patreon!
Gang Wars – The Femmes
This week we just released the first 2D gang with The Femmes, which comes with a handful of gangers and a mascot in two versions. For the next couple of months you can expect us to release more gangs, and we’ll probably end up covering them all.
Don’t forget that the GFF expansion Gang Wars is only available on Patreon until the end of the month, after which it will be put up for sale on WGV/DTRPG for a higher price.
New 3D Robot Legions & Saurians Released
In December we started releasing two new 3D print armies, and now wave 1 has been released on MMF as a bundle with 20% discount. If you’re a patron you also get 40% off on top of that, so check them out!
We’re going to be releasing even more awesome models for these two armies throughout January and February, so make sure to support us on Patreon to get them at the lowest possible price ever. :)
Free Skeleton Archer
It’s been a few weeks since we released a new free model, and that definitely needs to be fixed. This is the last free model we’re releasing from our previous armies, and next month we’ll start releasing free models from our new armies, so make sure to follow us on our Thingiverse page.
Finally, if you’re new to the project make sure to check out all of our community pages, where you can get together with hundreds of other players to chat, share, play, and more!
That’s it for today, not a huge update. We’re looking forward to seeing people posting their painting progress, and hope that you’ll enjoy Jakob’s Path and season 3 of the arena games. :)
Hope you’re having happy holidays and are able to spend some time with your loved ones. I’ll try to keep today’s update as brief as possible to not steal too much of your time, come watch me fail!
Let’s get to it…
December Painting Contest – Voting
First up, a community vote!
The submissions are in, and now it’s time to vote for your favorite paintjobs. :)
A long long time ago, we had started working on a very early draft of a one-page RPG called Dungeons & Glory, which aimed at streamlining RPG mechanics into a super simple and beginner-friendly format.
Over the past few weeks I’ve been testing out a lot of different RPG systems with a few of my friends, and decided to pick up the old D&G again, and give it another shot. This has lead to a complete re-working of the core system, as well as the addition of a useful GM guide, which introduces lots of different things to play around with.
Right now we’re planning on keeping this system as a one-off game, but who knows, one day it may very well lead to the creation of the infamous OPRPG…
The world of OPR seems to be ever-expanding, and now community members Jimbo and Lucas have put together a new podcast dedicated to all things OPR called OnePageFools!
Listen, like and follow here:
Jakob’s Path + Heroes
December is the last month in which our Grimdark Future narrative campaign Jakob’s Path is going to be available on Patreon, and as a special treat we have now released 2D models for all of the campaign’s heroes, which are fully compatible with our previously released Battle Brothers and Orc Marauders models!
With this week’s release of the Saurians 2D Army Pack, we’ve added the Saurians warband to AoF:A S02, and with this the season has been completed!
It’s really cool to see that now with each arena game having 6 hex boards, 6 warbands and 2 common assets, the game feels a lot more complete, and allows for a ton of match ups.
There’s also the warband creation rules, which allow you to use any and all miniatures you have as well, and we’re looking forward to seeing how people use the system to add all sorts of crazy warbands!
Note that the warbands are designed to be compatible with WHU miniatures, and with an upcoming lizard warband we’ll make sure to update the Saurian’s warband composition rules to make them compatible if needed.

Finally, I usually don’t do this, but I feel like I need to address you all directly.
This year has been a very rough one for everyone. Many of us have been going through a lot of hard stuff that frankly nobody deserved. We’ve seen family and friends die, become gravely ill, lose their jobs, their house, their mental heath, their dreams, their future, and many fates worse than that.
I know that I’m just some random guy on the internet, and that I can’t change any of the things that happened, but I hope that this project has helped at least some of you see some light in the dark. I’ve been steering this ship by myself for many years now, but this year has been something else, and I’ve pushed myself as hard as I could to bring you all as much gaming content as possible to hopefully keep you distracted for at least a moment.
Gaming has always been a means for me to get together with family and friends to have a laugh, and I think there’s nothing that we need more than the people we love near us in these times of isolation. If you or someone you know could use some time off this pandemic, and you think that gaming could help them, then please share this project with them. All of the games are free, there are free models, and we have a lovely community that can help you get set up for playing online if needed.
I have been incredibly fortunate to be able to turn my dreams into a reality, but I know that there are many people out there that haven’t been as lucky as me. I’ve spent many years of my life going through a lot of difficult things, and I know what it feels like to be looking up from rock bottom and see no hope. I feel a huge responsibility towards everyone that has supported the project to make the most out of it and provide everyone with as much value as I possibly can. I hope that in this I have succeeded.
From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank everyone that has believed in the project, and I hope that I can keep putting a smile on your face for many more years to come.
Today we’ve got a bunch of cool stuff for you, with a teaser for Darkness Whitin, results for last week’s Community Survey, a ton of new Gang Units, plus some news for 3D Printing as well as a brand new 2D Print Collaboration.
Let’s get to it!
Darkness Within
December saw the completion of the Jakob’s Path narrative campaign for Grimdark Future, so starting in January we’ve got a brand new Age of Fantasy narrative campaign coming at you called Darkness Within.
Every 6 months we’re happy to make a community survey, where players get the chance to tell us what they want to see in the future, share which armies they play, and provide any feedback they have.
Usually we also have some extra questions about other stuff, but this time we decided to keep the survey lean and simple, focusing on the things that matter to us the most.
Let’s see what results we got. :D
Which of these settings would you be interested in for new full games?
Alright, this is the big one, as it guides the development of our next games, and it seems that we got pretty much the same results as in our last survey, except that this time “Customizable Skirmish” has also shot it’s way to the top, and we’ve got a lot of votes for a One-Page RPG as well, which is not the norm.
Here’s the top 5 highlighted:
Small-Scale Sci-Fi – 37.5%
Mech Combat – 35.6%
Customizable Skirmish – 32.9%
Cyberpunk – 28.8%
One-Page RPG – 21.9%
Let’s break down what we’ve been planning for the future, since it’s going to be pretty much in line with the survey results:
Very soon we’ll have a One-Page RPG system coming as a one-off game, to test the waters and see how people like our approach to the genre. If we see that it gets a good response, then we might expand that into a full game in the future.
Then we’ve got a new Skirmish Adventure Game that we’ve been trying to develop over the past couple of months, which will also scratch a bit of that RPG itch, but most importantly it will be in line with the results from the last survey.
For Mech Combat, right now we’re working on revising the FTL rules, and once that is done and we’ve got the full game released, we’ll be working on a Mech Combat game that uses a modified version of the same engine.
For Small-Scale Sci-Fi, that’s something that we’ve been thinking about for a very long time, and we’re probably going to build a system that uses a similar model as FTL, where you have a core set of units types and customization options, plus 5-6 factions that can be further customized (instead of 20+ army books).
For Cyberpunk, we’ve currently got the Double Tap rules as a one-off, and would be very happy to expand those into a full game, so that’s definitely coming some day. Honestly with the development speed we have we’re not sure if it’ll be possible in 2021, but we’ll try.
Finally, for Customizable Skirmish, we’ve had some ideas on how we could expand on WarStuff to make it a little more fun and customizable, whilst also adding some new ways to play, and we’re planning on working on that as a side-project since it doesn’t take up as much time as developing other games.
That’s it on the games side, now onto the next two questions:
Which Grimdark Future armies do you play?
On the Grimdark Future side things are pretty stable as usual, with lots of Battle Brothers players dominating the landscape. It’s really cool to see that we’ve got some people that are playing the armies we’ve done in collaboration with TMC and TEO, and we’re hoping to do more in the future!
Which Age of Fantasy armies do you play?
With Age of Fantasy we also have more or less similar results as in the last survey, with a much more balanced distribution of armies played. It’s also cool to see that some people are playing the just recently released Giant Tribes, which are definitely a niche army.
Do you have any suggestions for things we should do with OPR (new games, armies, features, etc.)?
Finally, the open question is always a delight, since we get such a diverse range of feedback, questions, suggestions, and more. There’s also always a bunch of you who use this opportunity to thank us for making the games, which is very heart warming, and actually I have to thank you for making this possible. This project truly couldn’t exist without it’s fans, and I’m happy that we have such a nice community! :D
Now onto some of the feedback, I’ll try to keep it brief:
Some people have asked us if your focus will shift from games to miniatures, and the answer is a very decisive no. The miniatures are a great way for us to further establish our own settings, to provide fans with something cool, and to provide funding for the project, but that’s it. Whilst we definitely want to keep expanding and improving our miniatures, we have no intention to stop focusing on the games. We provide regular updates to all of our games, and currently have 3 games in early access, with more coming in the future, so we’ve actually ramped up our game development as well. So don’t worry about the games, lots of stuff is coming your way!
Lots of people commented that they’d like to see more stuff like Gang Wars but for the other games, like a Mordheim-style game, or Crusade-style rules. That’s definitely something that we’re planning on doing, so it’s just a matter of time before it’s released.
There’s also lots of people that have suggested we do map-based campaigns, and that’s also something that we’ve already been planning on doing, so it’s just a matter of time before we get to it.
Some people have asked us to provide solo-rules for our games, but actually we already have solo-rules for all of our 5 mainline games. This probably means that the information is not displayed well on the website, and we’ll have to take a look at how to make things more visible.
In addition to that, a lot of people have asked for a solo/coop skirmish dungeon exploration game, and as we mentioned above, we’ve got a Skirmish Adventure Game in the works which is exactly that.
There were some people who asked if it’s possible to play our games online, and it definitely is! We have an active community of players that use Roll20 and TTS, so make sure to join our Discord server to set up games.
Some people asked if we have plans to release 100% original OPR armies for 3D printing, and that’s also something we’ve been planning on doing. Right now we’re going to be doing 2 regular army releases followed by 1 original army release, so you can look forward to that.
Finally, a lot of people have said that they enjoy the little snippets of lore we provide, and that they’d like to see more. Well, fret not, as we’ve got a whole series of campaigns coming out which take place in our game universes, so there’s lots of lore coming you way.
I’d like to thank everyone who took part in the survey once more, and we’ll be back with another community survey in about 6 months when we can catch up again! :D
New Gang Units
With Gang Wars being currently available on Patreon, we’ve decided to go back and re-visit the Gangs of Hive City army list, adding 20 new units for the existing gangs, as well as adding a completely new mercenaries gang, which features units that can be taken by any gang to bolster their abilities.
Note: Promotion valid from 15th of December to 1st of January.
New Army Bundles
The complete set of Alien Hives and Mummified Undead have now been released as a bundle on MMF, and with a hefty 20% discount on top. Combine that with the 50% discount above and you’re in for some madness! :D
We’d like to remind everyone that the December Painting Contest is still running, and you’ll be ale to submit until the 20th of December, so only 2 days left!
Chimeric Creations was actually started by one of our community members Murmillo, who has been working toward creating fantasy miniatures that can be used to play miniature wargames and RPG’s. This set actually works perfectly to play a Dark Elf warband in AoF: Skirmish, or even build a small Dark Elf army for AoF!
Finally we’ve got some new previews for the models that are coming this month, which are looking great!
That’s it for today, hope you guys enjoy all of the new units, models, and Darkness Within teaser. We’ll be back next week with our last update of the year, what a ride this has been…
Today we’ve got the latest Community Survey, some Game Updates, brand new Arena Game Covers, a collaboration with White Werewolf Tavern and a new set of Cthulu Cult miniatures.
Let’s get to it!
Community Survey
It’s that time of the year again, and every one is invited to take part in our community survey, where we ask you a bunch of questions that will help share the future of OPR!
For those of you that are new, you can check out the last survey’s results by clicking here.
Game Updates
This week we’ve made a couple of small updates to some of our GF and AoF armies, addressing little issues here and there, and making sure some models can be used correctly in the games.
Grimdark Future
High Elf Fleets – Anti-Grav Tank now come with 2x Star Cannons
Lust Warriors – Heroes with Fast can now be upgraded with Lust Speed
Age of Fantasy
Bolt Throwers – Fixed cost of Bolt Throwers for High Elves, Dark Elves and Dwarves
Goblins – Sneaky Assassins now cost 70pts
New Arena Covers
We’ve been pretty happy with how our arena games turned out, and as we release new content for them on Patreon every month, they have grown to be very fun.
That being said, we felt that the cover art for the games was not really up to the standard of quality of our other games, and so we decided to re-work it into something awesome. :D
Download the rulebooks with the new cover art here:
Season 2 is currently in its last month of development, and will be available to the public in January, along with some awesome new cover art for it as well!
Free Gift by White Werewolf Tavern for Tier 2 patrons
This month our friends at White Werewolf Tavern were so kind to provide all of our Tier 2 patrons with an extra model as a free gift, with the mighty Karrash.
White Werewolf Tavern is a small team that provides awesome fantasy tabletop miniatures for wargames and RPG’s. They have a Patreon where they release new models every month, and patrons also get a 30% discount code to their MMF Store. If this wasn’t enough, they also provide gorgeous busts of their models, which are perfect for painters.
We’re very happy to be doing a collaboration with them, so make sure to check them out, they have super high quality miniatures which fight right in to play Age of Fantasy: Skirmish!
Cthulu Cult 2 by Barry Linck
If that wasn’t enough, this month we’re continuing our collaboration with Barry Linck, who makes awesome comics in his own quirky style: https://www.patreon.com/phinmagic
Barry makes really cool comics set in the world of Phineus, and if you support him on Patreon you not only get early access to his upcoming comics, but also to bonus comics that are not available on the main site for free!
Finally, if you’re new to the project make sure to check out all of our community pages, where you can get together with hundreds of other players to chat, share, play, and more!
Things have been a little crazy over the past week, and we’re sorry that Friday’s update is only being posted now, but at least we’ve got a bunch of cool stuff for you.
Let’s get to it!
Game Jam #2 Results
Just a few weeks ago we ran our second ever OPR Game Jam, which was pretty awesome, with over 60 participants and 21 submitted games, we’re very happy with how it went!
The theme for the jam was SYNERGY, and it was really cool to see in how many different ways designers were able to approach the concept and take it in different directions.
All of the submissions were really awesome, and honestly it was really hard to not just give everyone a 5 star rating across the board. In any case, here are some of our favorite games:
O.R.B.I.T. Link – This one might be one of my favorites simply because I’m a huge fan of Titanfall, and it’s a game that combines mech and infantry combat in a very elegant way. This could easily be re-worked into a full standalone game. :D
Android Racing Circuit – This is a fast-paced racing game that has racers running laps whilst trying to get control of a cyberball. Even includes a dexterity game for pit stops, which is just absolutely awesome!
Synergistic Outcomes – Android Netrunner: The Miniatures Game. Never thought I’d see such a cool take on the concept of a hacking game, and it comes with a huge number of Programs and ICE to boot.
Thanks everyone for participating, make sure to sign up for OPR Game Jam #3 which will take place in May 2021, and maybe there will also be a new writing jam in the meantime…
November Painting Contest Winners
This month we ran a Painting Contest, asking participants to paint any model from our October release and now the community voting results are in!

We’d like to thank everyone who participated, and we’re hoping to see your entries again in next month’s painting competition. :)

Make sure to grab what you want before it’s too late!
Grimdark Future: Arena – Season 2 Complete
This month we released a new pack of amazing 2D print models for the Machine Cult, and with it we’ve also released all of the warband assets for arena.
Now that all 3 armies have been added season 2 is complete, which has made the game truly come together, as there are now tons of warbands, tactics boards, upgrade cards and hex-arenas to play with!
Season 2 will remain exclusively on Patreon until the end of December, after which it will be removed and sold separately at a higher price, so make sure to join now (and get tons of other stuff too)!
FTL – Nomads Release
In other 2D printing news, this month we also released the Nomads fleet, which looks absolutely stunning, and we can’t wait to see people play with it at home!
The Nomads are only available on Patreon until tonight, after which they will be sold separately on WGV/DTRPG like our other fleets. :)
Free Mummy
Just when you thought that OPR was done giving things out for free, here we go with our 4th free model in this month alone, which you can get on our Thingiverse page!
With the latest batch of our Alien Hives and Mummified Undead models, we are going to take a break from those armies to start releasing two new ones as voted by the community: Robot Legions & Saurians!
Right now we’re still working out the details, but for each army you can expect 1-2 heroes, 5 infantry models and 3 large infantry or cavalry models. As soon as we have more info we’ll let you know.
On top of that we’re also going to have a new collaboration coming (more on that in the coming weeks), and we’re currently trying to get another FTL fleet done in December. Unfortunately due to personal reasons there have been some delays with the spaceships, and we can’t promise that there will be a new fleet in December, so we recommend waiting for more news if you’re subscribing specifically for the fleets.
Then aside from that there’s going to be Gang Wars, Jakob’s Path, AoF: Arena Season 2, and a ton of new and exciting paper models coming at you. December will be awesome! :D
As a teaser, here are some early concepts for our Robot Legions army:
That’s it for today, November has been a rough month for us, but we’re hoping to get back on track in December, and make sure everyone gets something cool in the holiday period. :)
Today we’ve got 2 New Armies, Painting Contest results, a bigger Store Discount, lots of Paper Miniatures, as well as great news for Arena Season 2 and a new Battle Report.
Let’s get to it!
New Armies
As announced last week, we’ve got 2 new extremely powerful armies coming at you, the Giant Tribes and Custodian Brothers!
The Giant Tribes are a new army for Age of Fantasy which is made up purely of giant models, with tons of different varieties for you to try out. This is a totally unique army for Age of Fantasy, as you can now field an entire army made up of just 1-2 models, or ally massive giants with your existing army.
The Custodian Brothers used to be part of the Battle Brother Detachments, but we’ve decided to split them off and give them the makeover that they deserve! The new Custodian Brothers are much more durable and dish out a lot more attacks, making for a tiny army of extremely powerful units.
Check out the army folders in the respective game pages to download them!

Last but not least, Sad and Lonely Gamer has released a new Age of Fantasy solo-batrep, this time featuring a heated 1000pts battle of Orcs vs Eternal Wardens.
That’s it for today, hope you enjoy all of this paper minis goodness, and next week we’ll be back with more awesome news and game updates. :D
Things keep moving fast at OPR, and today we’ve got a super-packed update for you, with tons of new releases, as well as a bunch of different videos for you to watch.
Let’s get to it!
Community Wiki Update
Before we begin, we wanted to highlight that over the past weeks the community wiki has been getting a ton of updates, and we now have 100+ pages full of content already!
There is something for everyone in the wiki, with dedicated game pages which give you an overview of all games and lore, as well as individual faction pages for Grimdark, Fantasy and Warfleets: FTL with more details.
For those of you that are interested in strategic tips, we have tactics pages for both Grimdark and Fantasy factions, as well as pre-made quickplay army lists for Grimdark and Fantasy, which cover most recently released box sets.
But what is probably the highlight of the wiki is that we now have dedicated miniatures pages where you can see exactly what models you can use for which units for both Grimdark and Fantasy. No more needing to guess what all those crazy alien hives units are!
The wiki is an amazing resource, and we’re really happy to see it grow, but it is by no means complete. If you’d like to contribute make sure to join our Discord server where we have dedicated wiki discussions: https://discord.gg/djBydgk
Print-on-Demand Test
Ever since we started providing 3D miniatures, people have been asking us if it would be possible to get them printed for them since they don’t have a 3D printer. For the longest time we’ve been trying to find a good print-on-demand solution that isn’t prohibitively expensive, and it seems that we might have just solved the issue!
We have found a US-based supplier that is able to provide print-on-demand miniatures at a reasonable price, and now we would like to give them a shot to see if this is something that can become a “feature” we provide.
In order to make sure that this is something that is viable for the future, we would like to do a test run first, and so are now looking for volunteers that are interested in our previously released Battle Sisters models.
All questions regarding pricing, shipping, etc. will be answered via e-mail
This is a US-based supplier, so you can expect shipping outside of the US to be pricey
You don’t have to buy the full army bundle, but can choose just to print individual units
Right now you can only get the Battle Sisters models printed
We want to make this very clear, this is a partnership between us and the supplier to provide an easy and reliable way for you to find a print-on-demand service. The supplier is NOT selling you our models, but they are only providing the service of printing them for you. This means that you need to buy the files from us first and then give them to the supplier in order for them to print them. This also means that we have no control over how the supplier handles their part of the business, and all of your questions ultimately have to be answered by them.
Due to the nature of the testing we expect this whole process to take at least a couple of weeks, and if everything goes well, then you can expect to get all of our models 3D printed through them in the future. :D
October Release Overview
Here we are in October, and once again we have a TON of content for you on Patreon!
This month we’re continuing with our Alien Hives and Mummified Undead releases, and we’ve also got a new Marauders Fleet for you as well. On top of that there’s some new games and expansions coming, as well as a bunch of other stuff.
The community will vote for the best looking submission, and the winner will get one FREE month on Patreon at Tier 3 (handled via refund).
The miniatures should be painted by you, no commissions allowed. By entering the contest you give OPR permission to share the submitted pictures on our social media platforms.
Happy Painting!
Note: Since this is the first time we’re running something like this it might get a bit weird and we might have to adjust things in the future, but overall it should be fun!
Marauder Fleet Releases
This month is really awesome for FTL releases, because we’ve got the new Marauders Fleet available for you, and in the coming weeks we’ll also be releasing some space terrain!
The Marauders Fleet is available for 3D printing:
And we’ve also got a version available for 2D printing:

OnTableTop Interview
Have you ever wondered how OPR got started? Want to take a look at my silly face?
Then check out this interview I did with the awesome guys over at OTT:
That’s it for today, this week was a very release-focused update, so next week you can expect a very rules-focused update to balance things out!
This week we’ve got a couple of new videos, a brand new OPR wiki, as well as some paper model updates and a new collaboration.
Let’s get to it!
Writing Jam Votes
Before we begin, don’t forget to read and vote on the best writing jam stories. Voting ends in just a couple of days, so make sure to be quick about it!
This week Wyloch’s Armory posted a great how to play Grimdark Future video on YouTube, which covers all aspects of the game and OPR as a whole.
If you’ve never played the game, or have always wondered if you’ve been missing out on something, then this video is for you. Make sure to also check out his battle report series.
Age of Fantasy: Regiments Battle Report
It’s awesome to see more and more videos being made for our games, and this week Stonehorse Gaming also released an awesome battle report for AoF: Regiments. This demo game shows off all of the basics of the game in a single battle, so it’s also perfect for players that are still trying to learn the game.
OPR Community Wiki
Did you know that OPR has an official Community Wiki now?
The wiki was created to provide a place where new players can find more information about our games, as well as find extensive miniatures libraries to know which models can be used for different units.
There are also games and faction pages that fill you in on the background stories of our games, and there are tactics pages to give you a better idea on how to play each faction.
The wiki is pretty new and still needs to be filled with a lot of content, so everyone is welcome to contribute by adding new pages, completing information on existing ones, adding miniature pictures, writing tactics, etc.
There are templates for all sorts of pages, so you just need to copy those and fill them out!
Infected Colonies are settlements that have been infected by a mysterious virus which mutates them into blood-hungry warriors. Those that have been infected are categorized into different stages, with each stage having a different effect on the mutated subject.
Note that our new 2D models now also come with a thick black borders version.
To help you get started with this army, here’s a ~750pts Grimdark Future list you can use:
1x Monstrous Tyrant
10x Zombies
20x Infected
5x Infected Hunters
5x Infected Dogs
Space Elves by Nico Pogarskiy
This month we’re starting a new collaboration with Nico Pogarskiy, who makes awesome papercraft miniatures in his own old-school style: https://www.patreon.com/nicopogarskiy
Nico makes really amazing models for RPGs and wargames, and if you support him on Patreon you not only get access to his full archive of models, but also get custom miniatures made by him to your liking!
For the next few months we’ll be releasing sets of his lovingly drawn Space Elves models, which come in 4 different colors and feature front and back art.
