Introducing the First OPR Rangers

February 3, 2025

A few weeks ago we announced the OPR Rangers Program to help support local OPR Communities. We invited everyone who wished to organize their own OPR Community Events to apply. We were thrilled by how many of you who applied an many of you were already organizing your own local OPR Communities & Events. So today we are happy to announce our very first OPR Rangers!

You can find the full list of OPR Rangers on our brand new OPR Rangers Directory right here on our website.

OPR Rangers are enthusiastic, positive, vital community organizers who help spread the love of their favorite One Page Rules games, organize regular local events, and grow their local OPR communities. They are the ambassadors to their local gaming communities and have our support to make it easier for interested players to get involved.

We hope all of you check to see if there is an OPR Ranger near you and get in touch to find out about any local OPR Community Events that may be happening in your area.

What if You Applied and Were Not Accepted as an OPR Ranger? - Over 200 people applied to be one of the first OPR Rangers, and we accepted over 90% of these applicants. The most common reason that we declined an application was because they did not have a place they could hold public OPR Community Events, such as a local game store, game club, or community space. We encourage these applicants to resubmit an application when they are able to find a place they can hold their events.

OPR Ranger Tiers and Reporting Events

As you can see from our monthly OPR Community Event Posts, our Rangers are already busy organizing Community Events that you can participate in, making it easier than ever to find local OPR players and play your favorite OPR Games. And now that we have our first roster of Rangers, it is important that we recognize their efforts.

As OPR Rangers run events and report how they turned out using the new OPR Community Event Reporting Form, they'll begin earning points that will help them level up their Ranger Tier. Ranked from Tier 0: Aspiring Ranger all the way to Tier 4: Legendary Ranger, each Tier opens up new rewards and tools that OPR Rangers can use to enrich their Community Events. These points earned will count towards an OPR Ranger's Tier ranking for 12 months.

When we originally announced the OPR Rangers Program, we followed the lead of other Organized Event Programs and said that there would be a requirement to run at least one event per month to be an OPR Ranger. After listening to your feedback, we've settled on this system which will allow OPR Rangers to run events at their own pace while still rewarding Rangers who run frequent community events. We will be updating the OPR Ranger Ranks every month, so we look forward to seeing where this new crop of Rangers end up when March rolls around.

Full details on reporting events, event points, and OPR Ranger Tiers can be found in the updated OPR Rangers Guide that you can download here on our website.

Become an OPR Ranger

Just because these are the first OPR Rangers doesn't mean that they're the last. If you're interested in joining the OPR Rangers Program and helping to organize local OPR Community Events, fill out an application today!

We want to thank everyone who gave us feedback about the OPR Rangers Program and we also want to thank everyone who applied to be an OPR Ranger. We still have a lot planned for the future of the program, so stay tuned for more news as it grows!

Happy Wargaming!
