The Last Tear: Meet Vacnip & Cleaverfang

Here is the first look at two more of the Narrative Heroes you can get with The Last Tear, an all new Narrative Campaign for Age of Fantasy: Skirmish, launching soon on MyMiniFactory's Frontiers! This new narrative campaign pits the brave Ratmen soldiers of Brec against the Rift Daemons of War. It allows you to play a series of battles telling the tale of old enemies reigniting their rivalry.

Priest Vacnip Hepalit:

“Lead me, oh God-Mother. All that happens is part of your plan.”

Usually going by Brother Hepalit, Vacnip is a Priest, one of these Ratmen that worship the great God-Mother. His faith is deep, perhaps even deeper than most Priests’. He desires nothing more than to help the God-Mother’s designs come to fruition. The signs that she sends him clearly show that he has an important role to play.

When he sees a young, ambitious Captain eager to prove his mettle, Brother Hepalit decides that he must assist him. He deeply believes that their meeting is no accident, and that the God-Mother has plans in store for them. He vows to help Captain Teibanec in his fight against a new Daemonic threat.

But the path of the chosen one is not a straight road; it is full of twists and turns, and demands all kinds of sacrifices. Brother Hepalit will have to confront his flaws if he hopes to please the God-Mother. No matter how terrifying the foe, how painful the wound or how despicable the stratagem, he will endure. The only thing he cannot afford to lose is his faith.

Tri-Hound Champion Cleaverfang:

“Revenge is like honey on my tongues.”

For over a century, Cleaverfang has roamed the steppes with his pack of Blood Hounds, slaying Orcs and raiding cattle. It is a simple life of honoring the God of War through battle and blood, away from the despicable machinations of civilizations.

When Champion of War Ironpride comes calling, Cleaverfang wants to turn him away; he has no interest in being a pawn in one of Ironpride’s convoluted schemes. He does not care about Voidgates, diversions and whatever the Last Tear might be.

But the Champion speaks of Brec, the legendary Ratmen city, and Cleaverfang can feel old wounds start aching; he still has a grudge to settle.

Despite his reservations, Cleaverfang consents to lead his Daemonic pack to battle the Ratmen. He has been promised worthy opponents and epic fights. But reality is rarely as straightforward as he wishes, and the old Hound will have to learn new tricks if he hopes to emerge victorious from the battle of Brec.
