A 2000 Point Open Play (Grimdark and or Age of Fantasy) Open Play event for those attending Origins. We have one event each of 3 days, Thursday, Friday and Saturday starting at 10 AM and going for 4 hours. We have 4 tables for each event and the cost is free per attendee. The maximum number of players is 10. The tables are 5' x 8'. Please have knowledge of the basic rules, have dice and tape measure. We will provide terrain and game mats and have extra miniatures and army lists on hand to borrow for those who don't have any. Location GCCC Hall C 2330

This is an "intro" session to teach the rules for GrimDark Future pitting forces of the attacking Necrons vs the defending Tyranids. Everything needed to learn & play is provided - minis, dice, etc and instruction by two “veteran" players. Come and play or learn to play Grimdark Future and Grimdark Future Firefight. Help build a cross-venue War Gamming community. The Grimdark Future series of games is a miniature agnostic system that is fun to play, easy to learn. A basic game of Grimdark Future Firefight takes less than an hour to play once you know the rules. Best of all, the rules as well as paper and .stl files are available for FREE. We teach and play "Grimdark Future: Firefight" and some experienced players play Grimdark Future. "Grimdark Future: Firefight" is a skirmish level game that pits team of between 5 and 10 figures against one another. Figures will be supplied to new players interested in learning. All players are welcome to bring preconstructed 300-point teams and use the forces organization rules to keep it balanced. This will continue for as long as there is interest. It is our intention to grow with regards to the event types. We are additionally adding building and painting at this and other locations as we start to establish a slow grow league.
On Saturday, July 4th, starting at 2:00 PM, we will host our first Age of Fantasy Skirmish Casual Tournament at Brettspielverein Nördlingen in Germany. The event is organized by Alex, who will also be the main contact for questions, onboarding, rules explanations, demo armies, and registration. This will be a relaxed and beginner-friendly tabletop event focused on having fun, learning the system, and playing some exciting fantasy skirmish games in a welcoming club environment. We want to give both experienced tabletop players and complete newcomers the chance to try Age of Fantasy Skirmish by One Page Rules. The tournament will be played in a casual format with 3 rounds. We will focus on straightforward games without unnecessary tournament pressure, making this a great event for players who are new to One Page Rules or tabletop wargaming in general. Players without their own miniatures or gaming equipment are very welcome. We will provide several ready-to-play loan armies, dice, measuring tools, terrain, and gaming tables. This means that new players can simply sign up, come by, learn the basics, and play. There will be space for up to 14 participants. Registration is required because seats are limited. As a small thank-you, every participant will receive two miniatures. There will also be trophies, paints, and brushes as prizes. For several months now, every Tuesday in the Castle we've been playing One Page Rules. The biggest bonus; you're absolutely free from mandatory miniatures - we stat everything in a collection as one of the official OPR factions, add proxies for the units you're still testing and voila, we put the miniatures on the table. Aliens with pulp blasters? Undead elves? Armored heroes? Ninjas with laser swords? The answer is yes.
