A Final Preview of the Eternal Dynasty Faction Book
And before we leave you, here is one last preview of what you'll find in the Eternal Dynasty Faction Book when it launches tomorrow on MyMiniFactory's Frontiers!
To celebrate the freshly released Eternal Dynasty Faction book, we’re back with another preview about the Kusarians. This time, we’ll be looking at how they came from the uneasy ascension of the Dynasty up to their arrival in the Sirius Section. We will see the uneasy balancing act between the absolute power of the Dynast and the independent and often bitter Clans, and how it has come to be resolved; through expansion.

The Long March to Reconstruction
Our last article explored the formation of the Eternal Dynasty in the wake of a long Warring Clans Period which devastated their people for generations. Yet, while the unification of the Clans marked a new era for the Kusarians, the devastation and bitterness from the preceding conflict remained.
The newly installed Dynasty, Hwan Ying Muxin, possessed a powerful military, vast AI network and far more resources than any individual Clan. Yet, even with this, the process of reconstruction was a monumental one and many still resented the new order.
Despite these relative successes, many Kusarian worlds remained poor and ruined by the long war and the road to recovery appeared long and difficult. The newly appointed Dynast focused her efforts upon the worlds of her own Clans and her most trusted allies; she claimed this was to ensure that resources could be used efficiently to more quickly rebuild their industry but for many this only cemented resentment towards the Hwan Clan.

A Common Foe
After decades of unease peace and slow reconstruction, mired in mistrust both towards the Royal Clan and each other, Ying Muxin began to look outward. Specifically; the migrating Alien Hives, which were moving far from their ancient paths along the Frontier, towards the Sirius Sector.
She started a campaign with the Royal Army that soon fell into disarray as rivalries and grudges caused order to collapse and forced many Clans to defend themselves. Many Kusarians were forced to evacuate their worlds, while others struggled to pursue the highly mobile Hivers without provoking neighbouring Clans. Eventually, Ying Muxin was forced to make concessions to the Clans while using her Dynastic authority to coordinate their defence together and fortify critical worlds.
When the Alien Hives turned back towards the Sirius Sector, old grudges began to resurface and many wondered how Clans displaced by the conflict would be dealt with; if these questions were not answered, Ying Muxin risked her Eternal Dynasty collapsing within a generation.
Seeking a solution, the Dynast turned to Sirius.

The Path to Sirius
Ying Muxin launched a massive propaganda campaign, downplaying her role in the defeat and promising land and glory for the Clans which assisted her expansion into the Sirius Sector. Few were able to resist her offer, particularly as it came up backed up by a veritable army of diplomats and spies from the Royal Bureaucracy. This time when Ying Muxin started her campaign against the Hivers, it would not be a led by the Royal Army alone but rather be a joint effort of the Clans.
So, while the Alien Hive brought devastation during the voyage through Sirius, the Eternal Dynasty followed in their wake. The divided factions of Sirius were, much like the Kusarian Clans, ill suited to respond to the nomadic Hivers who fluidly weaved in and out of borders as they moved towards the Radiance Exclusion Zone.
The Kusarians meanwhile took the lessons that they had learnt from the preceding war and learnt to effectively fortify their worlds as they advanced, clearing out and claiming the worlds which the Alien Hives had left behind during their migration. Initially, many in Sirius greeted the Dynasty as friends and allies, yet as peace was made with the Alien Hives it became clear that the Eternal Dynasty had no intention of leaving.
Instead, the Eternal Dynasty constructed a series of fortifications known as the Wall of Worlds, along their borders and distributed their newly conquered holdings in Sirius among the Clans. The resources of this new territory which escaped the devastation of their civil war, promised prosperity for any who resided there; offering a new hope to the long struggling Kusarians which their leaders were not prepared to give up without a fight.
Now, the Eternal Dynasty claims a substantial foothold in Sirius and are determined to not only hold this bountiful territory but also expand further. After all, so long as their territories expand outwards, their people do not have to look inwards towards the devastation of their long war or the manipulations of the Dynasty itself...
