Using and Discussing Paid OPR Content
Hello everyone!
Here at One Page Rules it is our mission to make the most accessible and fun miniature games in the world! This is why all our games are fast to learn, fit their core rules on one page, and why our games core rules are free, our army stats are free and it is all supported by a fully featured web app to help you jump into the game and get playing quickly.
However, we also offer some paid optional content for our games, such as the Advanced Rulebooks, Narrative Campaigns, Mission Packs, Faction Books, Army Forge Studio, and more. These are often released as Patreon Rewards, sold on DriveThruRPG and MyMiniFactory, or released as part of special Frontiers campaigns. These help enrich your games with new options, lore about our worlds, and provide fun scenarios and stories to experience.
And while all our games are playable Solo using our free Solo and Co-Op rules, every game is better when played with friends or with the large and growing community of OPR players around the world, and that’s also true for our paid game content, and we certainly aren’t expecting everyone at your table to need to purchase all our paid content for you to be able to use it during games or chat about it online or in our official community spaces.
Over the years we’ve seen the community get cautious and protective when it comes to talking about and playing with our paid content, so we wanted to release this article to put minds at ease and explain how we’re comfortable with you sharing and enjoying the content you buy for the game with the people you play with and how you discuss it online.
We wanted to clear things up and while this isn’t meant to be general legal advice by any means, this is how you can expect us here at OPR to moderate our official community spaces.

Playing with Paid Content
In general we think it's best to think of any of our game books you buy as you would any other game book you purchased at your local game store. During game nights you can print off a copy of the rules, campaign, or missions you’re going to use and pass them around while you play so that everyone knows what to do and you enjoy the content to its fullest! If you don’t want to print the pages, you can pass around your laptop, tablet, phone or any other personal method you have on hand to reference the content.
The only thing we ask that you do not do is share copies of the digital files with others or print off copies of the books to give to your friends. You can even photocopy and print extra copies of some pages you’ll need to play together, like game missions, scenarios, tracking sheets, etc. Just collect them after the event is done.
When it comes to Army Forge Studio, Army Forge Labs, and Beta content available through our apps, its ok to make custom factions for your friends, help them make Beta armies for playtesting, and bringing Labs content to game night just as if it were any other paid content. Just don’t hand out your log-in info or allow others to log into your account.

Discussing Paid Content Online
It's also fine to talk about paid content online! We’d love to see it, as these are all projects we’ve worked hard on and it is always great to hear the community share in our excitement. Again, just treat it like it was any other book you bought online. You can talk about the game content, share tips and tricks, ask rules questions, share snippets and screenshots of small sections of the content so that everyone understands what you’re talking about. Even share your favorite art pieces on our Discord Server.
What we don’t want you to do, again, is post full page screenshots, share the actual books files, or re-quote the entire product.
And while we do have Patron only sections of the Discord where chat about our paid content is often done a bit more freely, they aren’t supposed to be the only place you can chat about your favorite new Mission Pack, ask questions about how the new Narrative Campaign should be played, or debate which of our Grimdark Future: Star Quest villain is the best.
Though of course please use spoiler tags and warnings when appropriate! No one wants the ending of these stories spoiled before they get a chance to experience it themselves.

When in Doubt, Ask!
If you’ve ever got a question or concern about our paid content, chatting about it, or using it in your games or an event, feel free to reach out to any of our Moderators on Discord or email our community team at rangers@onepagerules.com.
We’re all enthusiastic about our games and our community, and we want everyone to be able to enjoy it to their full potential. So we hope this clears things up, and we look forward to seeing all the fun you’ll soon have with both our free and paid content.
Happy Wargaming!
